About Amaltas Niketan
An English-medium, co-educational school in rural Rohtas, Bihar, giving children affordable, quality education from Nursery to Class VIII. Many of our students are the first in their families to go to school.
Our story
Amaltas Niketan was founded in 1999 in Tilauthu village, Rohtas, by educationists Ranjana Sinha and Ranjit Sinha under the Tilouthu Mahila Mandal. Their aim was simple: affordable, quality education for the children of the region.
More than two decades later, the school serves over 1,000 students, many of them first-generation learners. Alongside academics, it gives them culture, computers, books and the playground, so each child grows in curiosity, confidence and character.
